Benton County Assets

Benton County is privileged to have a community foundation to support our communities.
The foundation was founded in 1998 and connects donors with community needs. It organizes community leaders and aids change to improve the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, and studies in Benton County. The income earned from contributions to the foundation is
used according to the community’s charitable needs and donors’ interests

Our communities are blessed with residents who take pride in knowing their neighbors, take care of each other in times of need and who have worked so hard at making Benton County a great place to live. They understand the importance of providing and participating with many organizations that offer emergency, elderly, family, health, transportation, youth and faith-based services. All of which, work together toward the common goal of improving our communities.

Agriculture

Benton County has always been one of Indiana’s top agriculture communities with its high-yielding soils.

Although we may be known for traditional farming, in 2008 we welcomed the future and became known as the “Home of Indiana’s First Wind Farm”. Now we are farming wind and creating renewable energy for the environment. The wind farms have certainly generated a great deal of interest and we encourage you to come visit us and find out more about Benton County.

Libraries

In addition to our community schools, we are delighted to offer five outstanding libraries.

Each library offers a multitude of great services and resources for our residents and serves as safe havens for our children that are just waiting to be explored. One library is a new state-of-the-art facility and the other four are treasured historical landmarks that have been updated with the latest technology.

Recreation

Our great communities stem from close-knit relationships that are fostered through various recreational activities.

We are very fortunate to offer a great park in each town, one of which hosts a new state-of-the-art pool, skate park and pond, two country clubs with a 9-hole and 18-hole golf course, several town festivals, farmer’s markets and one of the best Fourth of July Fireworks display in our region.
